May i know how do i ameliorate the situation of having my computer running at 100% cpu usage? I have only recently encounter this issue, and it is a pain in the neck. Could anyone here guide me in the right direction in obtaining commericalized software to remove unwanted spyware, malware and virus off my computer? Thank you very much!

Most of the time when your CPU is running at 100%, it means that you have too many processes running at a time. To look at your processes press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, let the task manager load and then click on the processes tab.

Also another common cause is that you may have alot of start up programs that are trying to run at the same time. To configure these start up programs click start then on run. On the run window type: msconfig A new window should pop up with several tabs, one of them should be start up tab. Click the tab and configure your startup programs to your liking. Go here to learn more : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Msconfig

Now if you looked at your processes and you notice something that isnt supposed to be there then you probably have virus/spyware/malware. To get rid of these do a virus scan (make sure your software is up to date). If you want to d/l software visit http://download.com it has usefull virus removal programs along with other goodies.
