Can anyone help with this one ? done a few backups all appear ok and will play on pc but not too good on my LG stand alone player, suffer from stutters , blocking ect. I can play them on some other dvd players most of the time just not on my main one. I use pretty decent discs with Ritek GO4 or 5 dye ( Arita ) . This may be my player so has anyone had experience of LG players ? any recommendations as to a good surround sound dvd will be appreciated . Thanks in advance for any help.

Here are a few common solutions to the problem you have. First, be sure you are burning your discs at 4x or 8x. Burning at 12x and 16x has been know to cause many playback problems. Second, might want to try using different discs. Riteks are good discs but your DVD player might not like them. I use Verbatims. If there is a Sams Club nearby, check them out. Mine at home has Verbatim 100pk 8X DVD+R and DVD-R for $29. As far as LG DVD players go, I've heard the HDMI LG DVD Players weren't too exceptional but their regular stand-alones were quite good. Hope this helps!
