I'm new to the xbox and have made a few backups of my games. When I get to the iso creation step Cration asks me if I want to patch the default.xbe I always click no and my backups have been working fine. I was just wondering what the patch does and when do I need to use it?
If your using a newer bios that auto patches the game as it loads then you don't need to patch them making the ISO. The patching takes away the copy protection from M$ that checks to make sure the game is being run from an original disc. RustyDog
