Hi all I need a recommendation for software with which to create an avi from a still image(jpg, png, or bmp) and a sound file(mp3 or wav). I want to create the avi to convert to flv.
You can use VirtualDub. For DivX/XviD, the still image should be a maximum size of 720x576. The video output will require that the XviD codec for Windows be installed. If you intend to use an mp3 audio stream, install the Lame MP3 Filter. Load/drag the image file into VirtualDub. Click 'Video' > 'Frame Rate..' 'Source rate Adjustment' > 'Change Frame Rate To' Example:If your audio stream is sixty three seconds, 1/63=.015873 you would insert that value here (or type in 1/63). In my case, to allow a little margin, I assumed 64 seconds and divided 1/64=.015625 and used that value. Under 'Frame rate Conversion' > 'Convert to fps:' insert 25 'OK' back to main window. Click 'Audio' > 'Audio from other file' and load the audio stream. Click 'Video' > 'Compression' and select 'XviD' Click 'File' > 'Save as avi'. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdub.cfm http://www.xvid.org/ http://users.tpg.com.au/mtam/install_lame.htm
Thank you so much. I had searched and searched on Google for some software and was having little luck trying to find something in the mass of results. VirtualDub worked like a charm.
