I currently use ConvertXtoDVD to convert .avi files to DVD, however, the menus that it creates are not that great. This is because the image I select as the background for the menu seems to zoom in and you only see the center of the image for some reason?? Can anyone recommend a good package that does what ConvertXtoDVD does - and creates good menus? Cheers, Picco
I played around with that kind of stuff a while ago and got too aggravated by the processes. I never really found one tool that does what you ask very well. I have used DVD santa to go from AVI to DVD and also TMPGEnc DVD Author to create menu's and edit frames & chapters. I thought the menu's in TMPGEnc were O.K. The only other option is NERO but i find it a beast to get used to because it suposedly does so many things and I never really get competent in any of the things it can do. Sometimes I manage to suprise myself & it works. I can tell you none of the freeware does what you ask.
use Sony DVD Architect, its the only program out there for Windows(or was when it was released) for professional dvd menu-ing.. you can import images u make in photoshop and animated media for ur buttons and stuffffff unless you are looking for professional looking presets, then ur SOL. I suggest iMovie on the mac for that.
