I used Super to create VOB files from AVIs. Thought it might save some conversion time. However, Nero Vision didn't seem to like them and neither did DVD Shrink. I don't know if it has to do with the creation of an IFO file in the process of converting AVIs to DVD. Just a hopin' someone could briefly explain it to me. Thanks.
DVD Shrink requires that a complete set of files be present in the DVD folder. You are correct in surmising that the lack of the .ifo (and others) would result in a rejection. 'Nero Express' would also reject the file (same as DVD Shrink) - but I am perplexed that 'Nero Vision' won't accept the file - it is after all an mpeg2 file. Perhaps changing the extension to .mpg would help?
try and run those vob's through fixvts (full process) and see if that can get dvdshrink to recognize those files.
