hey, i have two computers at home that i wish to connect via lan. i already have a wireless internet connection in place and was wondering if somehow we could also connect them via the wireless network to create a lan situation. Thus allowing us to play games etc across the computers.

To use LAN, you'll need a router. If you want it to be a wireless LAN, get yaself a wireless router!!

Wireless routers have both wired and wireless connections, so your first computer can be plugged into it thru a cable, and any others anywhere else in the house will require the use of a wireless LAN PCI card. Laptops nowadays come with wireless LAN, so all you'll need to do on the machine with the wireless LAN setup, is run the wireless LAN wizard and you should be good to go.

Keep the manual handy when you do this, it really helps. If you want any suggestions, Linksys makes a reliable wireless LAN setup...cards and routers.
