copying a dvd from shrink then turning it into an ISO so that a dvd can be made, even though shrink has a feature to auto burn it onto disk I wanted an ISO just for a backup incase I want to make more then one copy but when i made the iso using poweriso, burned the dvd it doesn't play in the dvd player. It will if I browse directly to a vob file using VLC but on its own nothing should auto play itself in the dvd reader or a dvd player....

what should I be doing or what am I doing wrong

I am not really following...Why did you use poweriso?!!? DVD Shrink can make an ISO and save it to your HDD.

I cannot see what problem one could have with DVD Shrink making an ISO. If it was able to rip to a folder with DVD Shrink, it should have no problems creating and ISO(unless using a FAT partition due to single file size limit, in which case Poweriso would not work either).

I would not recommend making ISOs of a DVD video with anything else but the ripping/burning DVD software, like DVD Shrink, DVDFab HD Decrypter, DVD Decrypter, Nero or ImgBurn (the only ones I have used, I am sure there are others like CloneDVD...).

And a lot more than you named
It’s what people are comfortable with that is the main
If he’s having trouble with shrink then he needs some new software that’s easy to use

:~) Anyone can use whatever they want! There is no place that says he/she had problems with DVD Shrink, the problem was with PowerIso; it just seems that the OP did not know that, instead of a folder with a bunch of files, DVD Shrink could rip the DVD and make an ISO, save it to HDD and be able to later burn it. Using two steps- rip to a folder with DVD Shrink and then use a different application to make an ISO of the same rip is pointless. if there was a problem with DVD Shrink, then another ripper would be needed, and that would be DvDFab HD Decrypter. It is up to date with the decryption algorithms and can make the bloody ISO!
