I want to make a Windows XP Home Edition with SP2 based off my copy that I have right now that came with the computer when I first bought it. How can I make a copy of my WinXP with SP2 and a couple of programs if possible to be included in there and make it into a bootable DVD-R ?
Having the DVD bring up a menu at the end of XPs installation to install other programs, is a long drawn out process...with many a DVD coaster before the ISO is finally created and working properly. However, you can just include the software with the DVD...and do manual installs...that's what I do!
Do a search on slipstreaming, that is how you can integrate SP2 into a new cd and have it installed automatically when you install XP. http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp That site explains the process
