Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 24-bit Sound Card (Low Profile), Bulk

    I just bought Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 24-bit Sound Card (Low Profile), Bulk and am having trouble trying to install it. It is about half the size of my old sound card and i can not get it installed correctly. I can't even jerry rig it.     are you sure you are installing it in the proper expansion slot? be a little more specific...are you having issues not fitting it in your case, or is it not plugging into the motherboard?

    Its the pci slot, i can plug it in but the card is still have way in my computer

    it doesn't look like a standard PCI card...is it a PCI express? Are you saying that you plug it in but the connector to the motherboard is still not seated properly? dude you need to be more specific, its really difficult to understand what you are describing...you are being way too vague.

    Alright if i were to have the card level and braced on the pci slot it would be about half a foot away from connecting and this the closest pci slot that is the best way i can describe it, the sound card i have is about half the size of my original sound card and really narrow. If it is connected into the mother board it can not be mounted properly

    so you are unable to mount the card into the motherboard because it is too long and other components in your computer case are in the way? You could try re-arranging your other PCI cards to see if it will fit...your only other option would be to get a new case with enough room for it to fit in.
