Hi, my best friend just soft moded my xbox, and i need some help accessing it through FTP. I do not have a router so i got a crossover cable. All my FTP clients are setup corectly, all IP addresses are correct, the cable is plugged in correctly, and the user name and password is correct. It is still not working. My friend said this is a good place. Please help! Yes, I am a noob.

I know that is not the best answer but without posting what the settings you have in the PC, FTP Client, & Xbox are there is no way to tell if they are right. But if they were it would be working. You should also read the one on 'network sharing" i had to set my connection up for that before it worked. also most tutorials i read said to set it up as a static IP. But mine is set up as a DHCP to be able to work. there are a few things that could go either way depending on your service provider.
