I tried Crysis for the 1st time, but after playing it for 1-2 levels I got so bored and couldn’t be bothered going through the rest of the game (even if I enabled God mode!)
I found the gameplay very lacking, the battles with the Koreans dull and and the story line very reparative & uninspired.

Seriously, does the game improve any more when the battles with the Aliens take place later on, or is it so boring all the way to the end and a waste of time?

A few years back I had tried Far Cry but similarly I got very bored and didn’t bother finishing it (I did play for a bit longer though, up to level 5-6)

Is it just me, or is Crytek just good for graphics showcases and nothing more?
Their games feel more like benchmarks and are full of bugs!

The only thing I liked about Crysis is the box cover. The suit looks pretty cool.

But I take it it's not worth spending 15Euros they're asking for at my local stores, just to have this box cover on the self? ;)
What about a wallpapers / flyer? Do they sell them some where?

    Thanks in advance.

No, imo it doesn't get any better. I stopped playing it because it was crap. It's just an eyecandy show off your PC specs kind of game. The online multiplayer is infinitely better than the single player.

I agree with both of you and disagree. I like shooters and great graphics and the Classic FarCry is loads of fun imploying different strategies everytime you play to find new ways to get past a challenge is great some games can be so linear and boring and while FarCry isn't as wide open as lets say Oblivion its a different type of game. I just started Playing Crysis and I do admit in more ways than one the similarity with FarCry is evident, but I haven't gotten very far. One game I just finished was more fun than I had anticipated and of course fact I got it for five bucks and a yard sale was a plus Titan Quest Gold, very entertaining lots of side missions good graphics and fun storytelling, but again a different kind of game.
