Hi, I'm new modding x-box's (as in never done b4) I have crystal x-box and I hardly use it now so I was thinking of modding it. But apparently this is harder to mod? Is that right? Basically I was wondering what the best way to mod it would be. Chipping or Softmod? I read the softmod tuts here and they are very good, but i was just wondering why you have to have a particular game before you can mod it e.g splinter cell? Is that just to crack the system? Once it is modded could I play dvds, without that extra infra red thing? Thanks
1.I softmodded as did many other people and I prefer softmods but some people prefer hardmods because you can fix anything you mess up. 2.I don't know it's probably just some kind of crack in the game's coding or something 3.Yes you can once you get the XBMC app.
