Hey people, its been ages since i've been here. I was wondering if someone can make a guide explaining how to put custom firmware on my psp using the pandora battery method. I have a fat psp with official firmware 4.1. Thanks! Oh i forgot to mention to make it noob-friendly =P
you buy a pandora battery http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12472 its $10.50 plus free shipping you order it through paypal if your in the us you should call your credit card or bank whatever your gonna pay with and inform them of the purchase you making because there in hong kong and most credit cards and banks will decline your purchase unless there informed. or i can give you info on how to get one for free if you pm me then you follow this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313 a few notes ** when you make you MMS (magic memory stick just a normal memory stick that has been specially formatted through your psp and computer using the niversal unbricker program from the guide i linked above) it should be at least 512mb 512mb-4gbs will work but some 4gb memory sticks will not not work(we dont know why) **its a good idea to have an extra 512mb memory stick and keep it as a mms just incase your psp gets bricked by user error*** heres a link to a legit 512 mb sandisk one for $8.95 with free shipping http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDMSP...0U1P78VRGMGR&s=generic&qid=1215114209&sr=1-22 **follow the guide and your mms will be created then you will stick your mms in the psp then stick your pandora in and it will install custom firmware 3.71m33-2 ** after 3.71m33-2 is installed you take the pandora out and place your normal battery back in and go to games then you will run the MUX 2.0 progrom there and use the d pad to scroll down to 3.90m33-3 update and install when thats finished you can just go to the network update on your psp and it will update itself to 4.01m33-2 (there might be people who tell you it doesnt work but there ignorant just ignore them and do it anyway) ** when you go to the game menu there may be a file that says corrupted data just ignore it its normal just dont delete it and youll be fine ** once you install the files your memory stick can be reformated by your psp and used as a regular memory card (just incase your only have 1) **just basically follow the guide exactly and youll be fine good luck and pm if you need help fnding iso's/homebrew/ ** iso=cso just so you know there the same and iso/cso goes in a folder called iso on the root of the memory stick ect
