I'm using NERO VISION 4.1.0.15, I've been trying to convert some downloaded TV episodes to DVD, so far, so good. However, some of the episodes have a customized frame rate of 23.98 fps, and NERO can only encode to MPEG-2 on PAL (25 fps) or NTSC (29.97 fps), which will cause unsynchronized audio. So I remembered to export the file, encoding it to MPEG-2 in the process while being allowed to customize the settings. That way I would be able to run it through NERO Vision later, to convert it to DVD, but with no need to encode it again. The thing is, when I change the video mode to "custom", and the frame rate to 23.98, in the Exported Video menu, I get an "Error ocurred during export operation" message everytime I press the "Export" button. What exactly is causing this error? Is there any way to avoid it, or do I need to use another software to encode these 23.97 fps files to MPEG-2? Because I really like NERO... Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.
My first response is that NeroVision 4.1.0.15 has a bug that causes problems with any video not using either 29.97 fps or 25 fps, so it gives you an error. If you check the thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/324998 Scroll down to the bottom to find a "Possible" work around. You could also go back to an earlier version which does not show this bug which is explained in the thread. A new release of the software may be out the first part of June, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. Otherwise, I exported several files without changing any settings and the audio seemed fine. I then just put them back into NV4 to use, which was our first workaround. Go here do download an earlier version. To make sure NV4 works correctly, I would suggest Nero 7 v7.0.1.4 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/
