I am working with some raw video files. They were downloaded with VLC player from a stream in wmv format and dumped as raw data to .wmv files. They play beautifully without seeking ability of course, but my problem is they are over an hour long and I want only a few minutes of each. I tried transcoding them as they downloaded with VLC but the filesize increase is horrific. The streams do not seem to support seeking. Now my question , is there some way to direct cut the raw .wmv files to just the bit I want, so they are a manageable size for transcoding to another format so they could be edited if needed? I just want to play the small sections of the video I need on my PC (Win XP). I do not need to burn to DVD
