Shareware, but does the trick without re-encoding the track: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/mp3_tools/mptrim.cfm
Yeah, I once tried normalizing my entire mp3-collection. I thought it would adjust the volume so that every track would have the same level. Result: Almost all of my sound-clips(from tv-shows) were destroyed. But thanks, I´ll try the cutting.
http://cd-rw.org/software/audio_software/mp3_tools/mp3gain.cfm MP3Gain is an awesome volume adjuster for MP3 files. Can normalise per song, or per directory (album).
I´ll probably do that. But when you´re un-experienced with PCs in general, you don´t really think about stuff like that. And thanks to cd-rw.org and andavari for the tips too.
