What are you aiming for by splitting the VOB files.

Using freeware, a simple way is to open the ripped DVD folder with DVD Shrink - ('Open Files' and select the VIDEO_TS folder).

    Click 'Re-author'.
Usually 'Title 1' has the longest duration - and that's the main movie.

Drag Title 1 from the right pane to the left pane.
Right click on it and 'Select start/end frames'.

Choose the frames comprising the first clip that you want.

Once more drag Title 1 from right to left and repeat the process.

When ready, click 'Backup' and save the compilation to a new folder on the HDD.

What you have now is a DVD with a bunch of separate titles.
When played back there is a slight pause as one title ends and the next begins.

You can burn the new VIDEO_TS folder to disk using ImgBurn.

thanks a lot.i used the backup function to compile the videos into a dvd
but there was no option to select from a songlist.
is there a way to create a menu?

If the new DVD is a collection of Titles with VOB files where each VOB is one song (VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_02_1.VOB, etc), use DVD Flick to make a new DVD with a Menu.
Run DVD Flick and load each VOB, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_02_1.VOB (you may have to choose 'All Files' to see them).
Make sure that under 'Project Settings' > 'Video' > 'Advanced' that 'Copy Mpeg2 files' is checked (else it will recode the whole movie).
You can then opt to make a menu.

I believe that DVD Styler also lets you create Menus - but I'm not familiar with it.
