Cyberlink Power2go HELP PLEASE

I have recently recieved a video that is .avi extension. Thats fine but when i go in to make the dvd and put a nice background picture on it maybe some music so it looks and soudns nice when i pop it into my dvd player the video that i click on and say import says "is not a valid files therefore can not be added to the complication." This happens a few times with otehr movies that i try to build into a dvd some work some dont. I think its the codecs and what they are built with but i dont knwo what this one is built with. I was thinking Divx but the codec that i have when i go into progam files/cyberlink there is no codec or plugins folder. I dont know what to do. If anyone knows please help me.
