can anyone help me with my problem. i recently built a new computer and i have been making backup copies of my movies for about a month. i purchased 2 new drives when i built the computer. they are lite-on drives. one is a dvd+-rw and the other ir a dvd-rom. i have been using shrink the whole time and one day it kept giving me stupid "cyclic redundancy check" errors. at first it was on the rom. so i went to using the burner to read and write both. well tonight i got the same error on the burner. i know 2 drives didnt go out in a month. i know its possible, but i dont think so. the disks are in excellent condition. so i am unsure on what to do. do i need to update my drivers? and if so where do i find updates? any help would be appreciated..
it wont download that file to my computer.. it also doesnt have the support for my rom on there.. i dont know what to do!! my burner is SOHW-1633S and my rom is SOHD-167T.. someone please help...
no you have to save and then run the flash. then you'll have to reboot. It's just like downloading any program. Save it to your hdd then run it. I think you'll need to unzip it. If they won't download then you have other problems. Have you tried disableing your drives in device manager and then rebooting and letting windows recognize them again. You may have to go bak into dm and re enable them but usually not.
i will try the dm first. as for the flash, it wont do anything when i click them. it just reloads the page. would it let you click on them? or is it doing the same thing?
when i click on them a screen pops up that says run or save. I already have fw flash BS0S downloaded and flashed to my 1633S. If you don't get it figured out look here.http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=44 They have a seperate forum for only lite-on drives.
then what do you think my problem is with that? i clicked on the link several times and it didnt work.
Try downloading from this site if their f/w is any newer than what you already have. http://dhc014.rpc1.org/indexOEM.htm
