I'm trying to copy my DVD files to a new folder so i can start DVD decrypter and it will only copy the first 6 files and then stops.
it says it cannot copy these files, data error, cyclic redundancy check...
can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong... thankyou!

Your disk appears to be copy protected. You say you are copying the disk in order to be able to use DVD Decrypter. Did you mean you are using DVD Decrypter to rip the disk to your hard drive so you can use DVD Shrink?

Cyclic redundancy means an error in reading the disk either due to a small defect in the disk or copy protection.

If the disk has smudges or scratches try cleaning it with a soft cloth and a little warm lightly soapy water. I actually use eyeglass cleaning solution.

If you're using DVD Decrypter to rip (copy) the DVD to your HDD, it can only decrypt the CSS encryption and handle certain types of copy protection. To overcome more rigorous copy protection schemes you'll have to use other programs like DVDFab Decrypter or AnyDVD.

Here's a guide for backing up a DVD with DVDFab Decrypter:
