I recently experienced a system crash and I had to reinstall AnyDVD & Clone Dvd2. The first movie I tried to backup after I got my system up and running again was The New World, but I keep getting an error reading cyclic redundancy error,(I got the same error also using Dvd Shrink and Dvd Fab Decrypter). I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems backing up this movie. I was able to successfully backup The Ringer afterwards so I was thinking maybe the original disc is bad. PLEASE HELP

When I used to get these they had to deal with copy protection, but since you have AnyDVD you shouldn't be getting these. First thing you wanna do is look at the DVD scratches, but mostly smudges.

You can try different methods to getting around this as well by using DVDFab Decrypter, Vob Blanker, and DVD Shrink or Nero Recode2.

Also it could be a bad press...

I suspect your original disc is dirty or damaged, i.e., scratched, bad press, etc. Try cleaning or obtain a replacement DVD. AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 have no problems with this movie....

I kept getting the same error. The disk was clean with no scratches. It would not rip with any of the rippers, even the new AnyDVD. All of them would get 75% then i would get the error. The Constant Gardener. I got it to rip in IFO mode in dvdDecrypter, then had to covertX then burned it with shrink.
