I got my cyclods in the mail a few days ago and I picked up a 1 gb sd micro from a local store for 8 bucks, japan made. And when you put it into the back of the cyclods it sticks out a bit. I'm sure its not a big deal, but from what I heard, people said it was very minimal. But it actually sticks out a lot, compared to the size of the actual micro sd card. I am a bit disappointed by the work here, considering it costs, on average $50, and is more than the m3 or r4. Its also disappointing that it isn't spring loaded, which I knew before hand and actually prefer it to be not, it seems a bit more secure this way, you actually have to yank it out, so it wont fall out anytime soon. The card itself looks pretty nice, the chip covered by the sticker is not noticeable and all in all it is very nice, but for 50 bucks I would have liked to have seen a better micro sd slot. From what I read its only a problem on the black model. Why? How can you screw up a model based on color? Oh well, it does its job well and I cant really bitch about that.

i would actually prefer spring loaded slots. although there have been a few times where the card literally sprung out of the slot, flying in like a 2 meter radius. but with my r4, you can still make the spring-loaded slot be non-springloaded by just pushing the spring in whe n you insert it, and next time, instead of springing it out, just pull it, and the spring will stay in.

Yeah, to be honest the spring loaded slots look and are probably better. The reason I prefer the non spring ones is that I am primarily going to be using my ds outside at my university and like you said it can spring out. My friend has an r4, but recently bought a cyclods when he lost his r4. His r4 really got me interested in the whole ds and homebrew stuff. But on one occasion he set his ds on his knee and the micro sd card actually fell out. It didn't fly out, like you said, probably because it was on his kneee. But we were outside and actually had to find it on the grund and since the micro sd card is so small it took quite a while to find, but I do agree that the spring is much more convenient and less stressful on your nails.
