i keep on gitting "cyclic redundancy check " wat does that mean and how do i fix it..... its been happening to most of my dvds...... it workes fine for a while but it just keep on sayin the same stupid thing..... help if u can .... thankx
Typing that into the search will bring 100s of hits on that but here are the 2 basics. CRC error while ripping to HD---caused by dirty, damaged or defective original dvd you are trying to rip. Clean well and check for scratches or damage. CRC error while burning----possibly dirty or fingerprints on blank, maybe scratches or possibly very poor quality blanks. Clean and check for damage. Drop to a slower burn speed 4x or less. Rplace cheap media with a well know good quality blank media. Jerry
It can also mean that the user is trying to rip a ARccOS™ protected disc or similar using just DVD Shrink 3.2 . If that is the case, I always do this method: Make sure you have the latest version of DVD Decrypter. The latest Version is Currently: Version 3.5.4.0 Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files"). Then use DVD Shrink to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk") - and select "VIDEO_TS.IFO" or the actual "VIDEO_TS" folder. A good tutorial on how to accomplish this is located here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45238 Download DVD Decrypter version 3.5.4.0 here: http://mrbass.org/dvdrip/
i have dvd decrypter 3.5.4.0 or somin like that and it freezes up on me ... after 20 retries i just quit..... but the DVD being old is probably why it messes up...but i just tried recent movies like beauty shop and kung fu hustle.... it both messes up.... those movies aren't that old either.... adn if it is really scracthed up how do i git to back it up without going to a place to git it smoothen??...
