I have been trying to get my gcc-4240n cd rom drive to burn a cd. In doing so one of the solutions I tried was regsvr32 ole32.dll. Now when I go to my computer it says "d:\ is not accessible incorrect function" I can't even get the recording tab back from editing the registry.
Have you tried going to the drive, Right Click > Properties > Recording > Enable CD recording on this drive. Can you uninstall the drivers for the burner and reboot? http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
I do not have the recording tab although I did before I ran regsvr32 ole32.dll. I tried uninstalling the cd from the device manager but when I rebooted it automatically came back without any prompting.
Now that error does not show up anymore. But when I try to burn a cd I keep getting Please insert a writable CD eventhough there is a writable cd in there. And yes I did try and change the registry to 1, 2 or 3 and I still don't get a recordable tab.
