I have been trying to get my gcc-4240n cd rom drive to burn a cd. In doing so one of the solutions I tried was regsvr32 ole32.dll. Now when I go to my computer it says "d:\ is not accessible incorrect function" I can't even get the recording tab back from editing the registry.

I do not have the recording tab although I did before I ran regsvr32 ole32.dll. I tried uninstalling the cd from the device manager but when I rebooted it automatically came back without any prompting.

It looks like you also tried to edit the registry to change the drive type to "1" ???

Now that error does not show up anymore. But when I try to burn a cd I keep getting Please insert a writable CD eventhough there is a writable cd in there. And yes I did try and change the registry to 1, 2 or 3 and I still don't get a recordable tab.
