I have been reading all over the internet, and i keep coming across people complaining how bad the D0 point is. What makes the D0 point so hard? Remember that i haven't opened my Xbox yet, so i really haven't had a good look at it. Also, i have put a chip in my PS2, is the D0 chip as bad as the 9 BIOS points on the PS2? Thanks for answering my questions!
I dont know why so many people complain about the D0 point.....xecutor 2 Lite was easier to install than any PSX 1 modchip I have ever done. The D0 point took me all of about 5 mins. to get soldered on right.
the only thing about the D0 point is its sheer size. anyone who is not 100% sure of their soldering ability finds it a daunting task. it took me about 30mins or more to do the D0 and about 5 mins to do the rest of the wires. But eventually it worked. for any1 who finds it too difficult or thinks they might mess up, there is always the alt D0 on the under side of the board. it is a much easier point to saulder. the only hard(er) thing is taking out the motherboard. hope this helps u.
Here's a tip for soldering D0 a bit easier.... There will be a small hole on D0, that you can fit a wire to.....make sure you tin the wire and put the wire to the small hole......put your soldering gun on the wire and melt the solder together with the wire without touch the MB.....the solder will melt and drip down to the hole giving you a good connection to D0. takes 5 minutes to do this and I find it much easier than the connection on the bottom of the MB.
