I just installed D2Ckey using Flex circuit. I ohmed out all the connections from D2Ckey and IC on board and they are OK, don't see any visible shorts under microscope.

The DVD drive shows up on the Wii menu, but the following error is displayed after about 10 sec, whether you select the drive or not:

"An error has occurred. Press the eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii operations manual for help troubleshooting."

The drive does have the sports game in it that came with the console. The eject button does not work to eject it. The DVD drive never does spin after power up, and does not appear to recognize this legitmate disk.

    Can anyone offer troubleshooting tips?

Thanks for all the replies. Just in case someone searches this thread, I finally figured it out. Disconnect the L pin on D2C and everything comes up fine.

I have a D2C key that I had "professionally" installed. Works fine with some backups but with some others I get the same

"An error has occurred. Press the eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii operations manual for help troubleshooting."

message, what does this mean? Wrong region? Bad burn? Thanks

It's probably the region. Make sure to play games that are the same region as your Wii. Or maybe it's just your media.

The games that don't work are USA/NTSC games, however other USA/NTSC games work on my wii, using the same media.
