    I'm trying to back up the da vinci code. It ripped fine with DVD FAB but its 7.95 GB in size. The problem is that when I run it through VOB Blanker it only processes up to 11% and then VOB Blanker stops.
    ALl my software is up to date. Can I just drop the movie straight into DVD Shrink? any help would be great! thanks

    Put it through shrink, select the main movie, then hit backup.

    the rule here is ......[bold] if you ripped a DVD to the hard drive then you should be able to back it up![/bold] The hard part is done... ripping... after which it should go into a transcoder just fine.... unless the files need more cleaning up ... then use FixVTS or VobBlanker, then a transcoder/encoder and burn! should be fine from there. unless you're using crappy media! don't get me started on that! LOL

    I did this movie using DVD Shrink w/Nero, and AnyDVD running in the background. No problems at all. I don't understand all the problems folks are having. There must be stuff on the computer that conflicts with the programs used to do the movie. Only explanation I have for it.....
    Good luck everyone!

    DVD fab version "3.0.3.5 (10/30/2006)" did not work with "The Da Vinci Code" if you play movie their is bad pixelation through out disc...

    The same problems on files stored in computer, bad pixelation...not a media quality issue, definetly a decoder issue...I use TO2 by the way.

    I tried DVD Fab's new test version "3.0.3.8 Beta", and it seemed to fix problems I had...I will have to let disc play and see if pixelation issue is cured... This is the first time I've ever had to use DVD Fab's Beta version to strip encryption.

    Will report back once its viewed.

    AnyDVD is a great product, but it still has occasional problems just like any decrypter...updates are just part of the ripping game.

    Has anyone used AnyDVD on this movie yet?
    Just curious about results...
    SORRY! missed it in earlier post

    DVDFab Version "3.0.3.8 Beta" worked Flawless...
    I just watched Disc all the way through, pixelation problem cured.

    I used:
    1.) DVD Fab's new test version "3.0.3.8 Beta" to decrypt.
    2.) 1ClickDVD to shrink.
    3.) Nero 7 to burn.

    @creaky
    Which version of DVDFab did you use?
    Version "3.0.3.5 (10/30/2006)" did not work for me...
    Just wondering if that was diffrence...

    @ Lp531

    tell me one movie it had problems with?

    Anydvd 6.0.8.2 goes through this movie like a hot knife through butter ($1 to creaky). Use anydvd... No problems, no excuses.

    @res2cue
    Lords ot Dogtown, Glory Road, Inside Man, etc...

    Like I said "it's a great product" but it does not work all the time just like every decrypter on the planet...

    AnyDVD is not always the answer if something does not work...new encryption scemes come out all the time...all I was saying is that waiting for up-dates is part of the ripping game...

    I prefer the free route especially when it comes to decrypters...I will pay for shrinking and burning software...
    I will never pay for a decrypter only.

    I posted to let people know that the (NEW) "DVDFab beta version" Works on this movie...I have never had to resort to the beta version before to decrypt a movie, I was a little hesitant to try the beta version, just want to let people who are having a problem know...The beta version WORKS...
