I have 4 large files that I would like to burn to DVD. The total for the 4 is 7.6 gigs so each is around 1.8 gigs. They are in .daa format and should burn to a DVD but Power ISO won't do it. I've tried to convert them to ISO and then burn them but no soap and Nero doesn't 'see them' and no luck with DVD Santa. Thoughts?

When Nero did not see them, did you select show all filetypes?

What you have there? I mean is it even possible to merge them?
Might not be... so you need to burn them with Nero using data mode.
Or you need to burn them separately... (not so smart)

Nero doesn't see them until you click 'all files.' Then when you ask to burn, it says something like 'format not supported.'

I tried to convert them from .daa to ISO with Power ISO but then when I ask Power ISO to burn, it gives me an error message that leads me to believe the file is too large to fit the DVD and I have no way to make it smaller or split it - and I have not been able to play or watch the file.

I have 7.4 gigs of video file sitting there and I can't do anything with it.

Convert that .daa to .iso (or some other image format)
Then you mount it using Deamon Tools or Alcohol and use software like DVDShrink to make it a DVD-9.
And then just burn dvd-files to dvd. (using Nero)
