I have some data dvd disks full of mp3 albums. Some of the disks are damaged. When i try to put certain albums on my pc i get error messeges. Tho not all albums are affected by the scratches on the disks. My question is..is there such a program that can scan the disk, checking for errors and tell what files/folders can be saved? Thanks
Im not sure about that, maybe someone else can help you out. However i know if u have a Maplines electronics where u live or somwhere similar, that have little devices that you put your disc in and it removes minor scratches and marks. Just a suggestion, would only set you back about a tenner. (£)
Nero toolkit has CD-DVD Speed test which has Disk quality scan, and Scan disc ....... disk Quaility will show how good it burned to your blank DVD, and the other will check your disk for damage to it. here is a quality scan of a Taiyo Yuden disk:
