Dash Update - Need For Speed - And Ap25 Question, on firmware modded drive

ok It's my understanding the new NFS has a dash update, as well as a new firmware check. I have a BenQ drive, with the firmware that needs the activate iso for wave 4 games (1.5 right?)
One, will this new dash update make my games no longer work?
Will this game work?
lol I guess that's it, its not going to mess me up will it? I'm confused lol

 

p.s im not concerned about being banned i don't play this xbox online i just don't want to have it make all my old backups stop working for some reason (the new dash update)

 

Plain and simple. AP2.5 games cannot boot currently unless you have a hitachi or samsung drive.

 

AP2.5 games will not work on new dash except for samsung and hitachi drives. Fable 3 will work if you have old dash though.

 

all ap2.5 games work for me...and not using a sammy or hitachi.

 

what dash are you using? what drive do you have? what fw? spoofed? wave patch? jtag?

how is it possible? so you're saying fable 3, ac: brotherhood, and need for speed: hot pursuit work for you?

 

Same here. I got an old elite machine from 2007 using a lite-on drive or could be benq. Can't remember what firmware, possibly lt, but this is playing fable 3 and assassins creed brotherhood just fine on the latest dash. Took a risk and plugged into live to download the dash. Had no problems with any game so far. Fingers Crossed.

 

Sure, they would all work when you put your original disc into your 360.

Lite on drive, beta dashboard and ixtreme latest "not LT+" Fable 3 working and brotherhood and hot pursuit not working!

 

I tried Fable 3 on my BenQ drive with the beta dash and works, AC Brotherhood just gets Play DVD...oh well, wait for the new FW to come out

For AC Brotherhood just says Play DVD on my Benq with 1.61m this is because of the AP 2.5?

Okay. I have a JTAG console so gonna find a guide how to use AP 2.5 on that

 

My theory is that ACB is checking for a console flag and if it finds one it wont boot. while F3 doesnt check for a flag and will sometimes boot. thats a theory tho with no evidence to back up

 

Just so I understand this correctly...

I am running my xbox with a hitachi drive and I am unable to play the new Need for Speed, using a backup.

Is it true that I will not be able to play need for speed until I get my drive reflashed? What other games are effected by this?

I do not know what flash version I currently running as I did not flash the machine.

other games that don't work are Fable 3, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and I think some Hasbro game.

most likely you will need to reflash your firmware. unless one of the workarounds that people have been posting work for you. seems like a bunch of ppl are having no issues with certain hardware and/or fw combinations.

 

Okay, I have a question -- rumor has it that Samsung/Toshiba and some old Hitachi dont have ap25 -- I have a machine that had a Lite On. I installed a Hitachi 0047DJ with the Liteon key. This won't work from what I have read, as far as fooling the AP25 into thinking that the unit came with the Hitachi?

 

spoofing isnt working anymore. those days are gone. and its not a rumor that samsung and some hitachie dont support ap2.5 it was confirmed by c4eva
