6 updates?? bummer... and the fact that they are doing them "gradually" in 6 increments. Looks like another possible delay for firmware release. Great find!
I do deployments at work useing MS SCCM. We do the same thing with any high impact patch. Roll it out in waves so if somthing happens you don't break everyone at once. gives you room to back off if so.
Jesus. Finalyl a solid date. I am pretty sure that people have been saying 'ZOMFG NEW DASH UPDATE THIS WEEK?!?!?!1/1?' every week for the past month! Steve: This update will flash many drives and is rumored to put in new checks for modified FW. C4E is already testing FW for both BenQ and Liteon drives. As of now, these are the only drives that will be affected (Setting Mode-B in Hitachi drives is too difficult to do with a dash update I suppose). Although, I have heard conflicting reports about the status of Samsung drives (some say they will be flashed with the update, others say differently). Anyhoo, I have put on my tin-foil hat and reverted ALL of my consoles back to stock FW until there is a valid release of LT 2.0+ FW. Until then I will only be playing burned games offline on my Jtag. If you are not as paranoid as me, you can have the update flash your drive and hope that they didnt find a way to detect the modified FW.
Read here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f...ds_paypal_avatar_kinect_coming_may_27-897655/ And this is not JUST a spring update for Kinect and avatar. Check out Xbox Scene website and you'll see it's confirmed that the new update does a lot of security stuff, and also include a new disc format that has to do with more space and more security as well.
so whos so worried about it,i know im not its gonna happen anyways,c4eva suppose already hacked the new disk etc,i will just reflash since i have my keys saved, just feel sorry for the people that dont have keys save
yea same here. I assume most people will do like me and sit offline and not take the update for a little while. But again with some of the questions that get asked here i guess it's not safe to assume anything.
