Hi there, I have a home movie on a CDR, it contains 5 folders. The MPEG folder has DAT file. I wanted to know whats this format? What format can it be converted to & for that which softwares would I need? TIA. PS: Hope its the right sub forum, remember im new to the forums.
The disc is a vcd or a svcd and may play directly on your dvd player if not use vcdgear to extract the mpeg-1 from the dat file from there you'll have to post back and tell us what you want to do with it dvd divx xvid or what
Thanks. I agree that its either a VCD or SVCD, since it plays on dvd players. Whats its format mpeg 1, 2 OR it has to be converted to mpeg 1/2? The reason for asking about conversion is I wanna improve its audio/ video quality? Regards. TIA.
its probablly a mpeg-1 download gspot and analize the file it will confirm the file type audio type etc.
