A week ago, I moved all my picture files from one harddrive to another (both internal). However, doing this caused me to lose all my pictures. Now, I have used many data recovery programs but have not had luck in recovering everything. The latest program I have tried is called Restoration, I am using version 3.2.13 to be specific. Now, when I search the C drive it finds a lot of the pictures, however, after restoring them, I cannot view some of them. Can anyone help? This has happened with other programs I have used. I am trying to avoid having to pay to get all my pictures from.

Did you get any errors during the file transfer, or did it seem to copy and there's nothing left? Previously for a situation I had I used and had a lot of luck with R-Studio, good program worth buying, but try the demo and see if it can find your data first.

The files are pictures and they appear to be there, but they can't be viewed. They just appear as generic thumbails, not a preview of the image.
