Hi there, I burned my data on a Verbatim DVR+RW. I formatted my OOS but the DVD wont copy the whole data on to the hard drive. Dispays a Cyclic reduncy error. Probably a scratch on the media?? Is there a way that I can get back the whole data? Hoping to hear from you, Thanks in advance.
Copy as much information as you can from your regular drive. Once all that information is transferred, try another drive from a different manufacturer because error correction and the pick-up head design will be different enough that perhaps the missing pieces can be read. I have used as many as four different drives recovering "lost" data for customers; and this method, along with software programs such as those Berryone mentioned, often did the trick.
