Datel AR Max Duo ---- HELP!! No Customer support from DATEL!

I've been having problems with my son's week old AR Duo I purchased new from Datel. I've called them, used the website, emailed customer service for about one month now and have gotten nowhere.

Maybe someone here can please help me!!

1. The system said the device was corupt and needed to be reset. Done. Reset process was successful however now there are no codes so I have to follow the reload process.

2. Unit on/off switch is very touchy. It says the unit is off when it is actually on, touch the switch and it is OK.???

2. "Console not connected". I've reset, USBIO is good in control panel. I've followed the instructions to the letter. Tried different ports and different computers and different cables and GBA games. I get the unit (sometimes automatic but mostly manual) into USB server mode. Sever log says .. Listenting(0x104). I think the main problem may be the versions or if not a problem with the hardward.

I am using DS Lite. The version on the screen says V1.06N while the sofware version on the cd is 1.04. So I uninstalled the PC version, downloaded the US version 1.06 and reinstalled the software. It still says V1.04 when I right click the title of the application screen on PC.

Please help!! I've spent about countless hours screwing with this thing.

if its only a week old.. maybe take it back to the store you bought it from?

 

I had a ARMAX Duo for year. And it still works fine. I don't like their help support either. Their products are good but their support sucks.

1. Because you did a hardware reset, it will erase all codes and saves from the hardware.

2. That usually happens sometime. Just leave it on the off switch and when it tells you to turn it on, turn it on.

3. To connect using the usb cable, first plug the usb into the computer. Then plug the other end to the armax duo. If your speakers are on you will hear a sound. After just turn on armax duo while holding the L button to go into USB Mode. Then turn on the software.

I use a DS Phat. My ARMAX Duo says the same thing but I don't let that bother me. If you download the firmware that comes in a .bin format in a folder call a us_update_v1_06 then it can transfer codes faster. It worked for me. But I'll come back to check on you.

I can't get anyone to contact me, even when I asked where I could buy one. I couldn't find any stores with them in stock so I had to order it direct. I figured that would be safe. I don't expect that they will ever take it back!! I suppose I could just send it but chances are I won't ever see it again nor the money....
