DBOX 2 NO PICTURE ONLY FREE TO AIR CHANNELS ARE DISPLAYED

Hi, I turned my DBOX 2 on today and all the channels are blank apart from the free ones such as BBC1 etc..., only the information in the EPG is displayed for the blank channels.

I have also done a service scan and have got the channels but they are all blank with no picture, the channels information is displayed in the EPG.

Please help

 

Can you tell me how you resolved this and if its new keys tell me where to get them or email them to me

Same problem for me - looks like the keys have changed. Might nee a new image?

 

Just came back on then at 10:45 another key update zapped them again!!

What a nightmare. Basically Virgin Media are trying to kill the dboxes etc. They are sending out keys that these boxes can't handle. They must have upgraded the real cable boxes. The only solution at the moment is to update the keys manually. Get this toolbar for up to date keys: http://bigmaq.ourtoolbar.com/
Then you need to update the keylist.txt file. It's in /var/keys/keylist.txt on the dbox.
Just delete all lines except first 2 and change keys to the lastest ones in BigMAQ. Best to do this with a PC & FTP program but can be done pressing the blue button on remote and scrolling to Tuxbox Commander I think.

Now reboot box - should be OK now!

Trouble is, they keep changing the keys - twice a day!!

Hi, I followed all of JBeevers' instructions and i seem to be having a problem when i press "4" for edit, nothing happens....
Anyway I can get around this???

 

press edit on main screen and on key file and not view

 

i havent fond any codes that work yet tho so not good but will try closer to weekend for when i want to watch the footy he he

Better to use a laptop with an FTP programs such as cuteftp. Username for dbox is root, password is dbox

 

Hey, Thanks guys, I tried the keys but they didnt seem to work...
I edited them and everything but they still didnt work...
I followed as you did, then got the Keys and changed the first 2 lines to the new keys and deleted the other ones...
It still didnt work
Anything im doing wrong??
