I need to flash a friends sagem dbox, never done a dbox but am familiar with flashing starviews etc. Can I flash using only a null modem cable to pc/dbox? I've searched for yonks but cant find a link for appropriate flashing software/rom loader?

here'e a link to the main thread where you'll find helpful ideas

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/119/369401

here a link on how to flash

    http://www.kleinanzeigen-dienst.de/dbox2/BeginnersGuide.pdf

best to read the how to flash link, it will make reading the
    rest easier.

answer to your q'tion- yes, you can flash with null cable only but
    i found it confusing.
here's a link to the part of the first link above which discusses
    flashin using null cable only.

    i forgot to mention.

find out the type of sagem box you have, i.e. does it
1 or 2 processer chipset (intel/amd etc..) because the
image file for 1chipset will not work on 2chipset box and
    visa versa.

It appears there are x2 AMD chips in this particular sagem box, according to the guide this is unusual? I gather that I'll have to use the 2xl image in this case then? Also can't find Tutorial tools/DBox command center anyplace (apart from fleabay)although this looks like it would be the easiest alternative as it's dedicated, I'm gonna try cuteftp which I've used before in the dim and distant past, here's hoping!
