dBox Showing only RTE, TV3 etc

Hi All,
My dBox2 has just stopped working in that only TV3, RTE 1 & 2 are coming through. The radio channels work and it appears to be picking up the channel listings and the next programme info listing etc but just no picture.
I can barely work my toaster, can anyone provide me with idiot proof instructions to get it back on track?

hi i have ex\ctly the same problem and this happened yesterday also is there maybe somehting that n*l have done and we need a new image ?

 

i don't even know what an 'image' is. the other posts are equally baffling.......Can anyone please help scotsmarc and I out here????

 

You have to upload a file or edit the keyfile by yourself.
The image doesn't matter.

You simply have to learn how to handle tuxbox commander at your image and overwrite wrong parts at the keys.
It looks like you need that procedure twice per week from now on.

 

Can someone tell me what the new keys are? I have a Nokia DBOX2 running Trinty Blade. I live in Dublin

 

can anyone tell me in simple enough english how we got our boxes up and running again please??

If you want to do this yourself, you are going to have to read through the threads and learn a bit about what to do, if it was simple there would not be lots of threads here at all!

There is no easy/simple way, until you know what you are doing.

The people here are of great help, but you have to try and help yourself first!!

 

fair point, I am doin my best but finding it very confusing. First things first though, I need to get one of these crossover cables right?? Can I get one in any computer store? Does it have to be a specific type??

Frm there I need to hook my box up to my PC and follow the instructions I guess??

GET A XOVER CABLE to communicate with your d box (use flash fxp). Set up the speed of your network card to 10half duplex and your ip address to be 1 digit lower than your d box ,,,with blade your password and user is root/root and your into the files on the box go to var/key/keylist.text delete the keylist.text file and tranfer in the new keylist file found on this site ,,,,,set up your box to evocam and go to nagra rom and disable all except #11 and your off i'm in dublin 12 and it works fine but i've repaired boxes all over the city over the phone so it works all over dublin
