    Hi all,

Got landed with a DBOX2 nokia today,,, to try and get it back working.

Problem been that its only got a couple of channels, its like the starview with the emu switched off!.

Its the first time working with this box and have no manual nor proper remote control and to be honest I only briefly scanned the other treads.

Anyone got a quick fix for this channel lose.

first off you need the original remote to fix or flash any box(as you need accesss to hidden menu)but there is a world of difference between starview and dbox(if you have no experience its very hard)i flashed many different boxes but with d box its harder(so i just entered codes by hand)if you feel confident then read the threads on dbox, otherwise enter the codes by hand.

Will read back through the treads and for the exparence reflash. But first can you tell me the sequence to getting into the hidden menu and how to enter codes by hand, I'm sure I can get the orgin remote.

If you have the crossover cable you can ping the box. There's a section with a virtual remote control.

A Dbox is easy enough once you take a read up on it. The virtual remote is part of yWeb. Take a look at the later part of this thread you will find all you need http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/206/369401 Turner has some good vid tuts there.

You will also find quite a bit in Eamos at the bottom of my post. As said the Dbox is not hard at all with regards to flashing it. Yweb remote is OK but I would recommend buying one on fleabay.
