    hi guys heres the deal:

i bought a dbox in debug mode with the sportster image on it (plug and play apparently).

so i hook it up to my cable connection and perform a service scan on both sym6887 and 6592 but only pick up one transponder.

when the scan finishes i dont have any channels, there is an error message "waiting for time".

    whats going on ?

should i load up a different image and give it a go ??
is the signal strength strong enough to be detected ??

have read the newbies guide but doesnt address the problem so thought i would ask you guys and gals for any ideas.

i live in the oxfordshire area if it makes any differences, cant seem to find an xml file

    cheers

Hi Tossapot, i've also got a waiting for time error, what are my options and is there a way of dealing with it without opening teh Sagem box?

    thanks.

How did you get it to work. I have the same problem with 6887. I get 1 transponder on a nokia 2cpu box, but not getting any channels.

Gibb. If you are on sportster, try re-setting the cam.

sportster Sometime the Cam has to be restarted. I use evocamd and its good as gold. Try remote button blue, blue, emu selection, then evocamd.
After that do a scan, if nothing on 6887 try the other. I know its the telewest but mine is ntl and it picks up more on the telewest i think its 6952.
It will find channels, if after you have found channels it comes up with *waiting for time* then an error screen comes up with channel not available, your box has a fault and contact the guy you got it from.
Let me know how you go on mate.
Hope it works for you pal.

P.S even if you dont have sportster, still try re setting the cam.
    It Should work!

definetly sounds like a cam problem or a ucode prob.Other thing to try is an image with bruteforce scan
