Got a quick question... My Mobo can handle a max of 1 gig of DDR 2100 memory (I know sad) but, anyway I have 2 slots for DDR memory. What if I had one slot empty, and the other slot filled with a 1 gig stick of memory, would that fry out my Mobo? Vs just having 2 sticks of 512mb ?

    Hey

Well if you only have 2 RAM slots, and can only support 1G total, each slot will only be able to take 512mb Chip MAX. Therefore if u put a 1GB RAM chip, it will either Not work or will only show as 512mb.

So, easisest way, buy 2 512mb Chips.

    Regards

Depends on the motherboard... siome motherboards have an additional limitation on the maximum size of individual modules

To be safe I would go with 2 512 sticks.

Yes DDR2 is coming out but I think your motherboard/chipset has to support it.

Now if Asus or another quality board manufacturer can get a good PCI express ready board on the market we might have something.
