Can you be a little more specific? I cant help if I dont know what RAM type you need. Did it say like PC 2700, PC 3200, PC2 4200 or some kind of indication?

We can't tell you if thats good ram unless we know what your motherboard accepts. Download the Belarc advisor, run the program, and it will tell you your exact motherboard so you can look up the details.
Those are decent brand RAM, and DDR2 PC6400 is pretty standard for most boards in the last few years but some cheaper boards only like 512MB RAM sticks and you have 1GB sticks.

This is what you need DDR SDRAM Newegg. You should check your maximum supported RAM though before you buy. You need PC 2100 or higher RAM.

The CPU is an AMD Athlon XP 1.53 GHz.

More RAM will help, but not much. You have a very old and slow (compared to today's standards) CPU.

Maybe maybe not. You need to figure out what the upgraded CPU will be first before you pick the RAM.

You need DDR not DDR2, 2100 is slower than 2700, if you are gonna upgrade cpu you should get 2700 to help with the faster flow...

Provided the motherboard supports PC 2700 memory. If it doesn't it will still work but will work as PC 2100 memory instead.
