What is the alternative program to use in place of DDVD?
I believe DDVD has been sold,so it is only a matter of time
    before it is disabled.
Does anyone know of a good alternative ripping program, that fast too?

    Hi Mort81,

I also have a 1620,but I can't seem to write 2 movies off the same ribbon. The benQ 1620 is very slow(.07k or less)
How does yours perform?..also have a Pioneer 109 on same cable.

My 1620 has performed flawlessly. I prefer it for burning over my litey although it rips a little slower.

Do you mean burn two copies at the same time and that your drives are on the same IDE ribbon cable?

Make sure one is master and the other is slave. Both my dvdrw drives are master and on seperate IDE channels since my hdds are SATA.

Make sure DMA is on. Is your IDE cable 40 or 80 wire? I recommend round ATA/IDE 133 cables.

Both writers on same 80 pin eide cable.
    I use two separate hdd's.
Seems to be a conflict of some sort.
    dell4700,3ghz,1.5M.
It was writing very well then all of a sudden started writing
slow, benQ is about 3 months old.
