we had an old tv that has about two inches of dead pixels at the bottom of the screen. the bottom of the screen was just black and it squished the actual display on the screen. it made everyone on tv look like midgets. its no hdtv or LCD or anything. just an old normal 42" tv.

anyways, they got a new tv and said i can take the old broken one and fool around with it, i was hoping i could fix this pixel problem on my own. any suggestions ?

I don't think that you can fix just a pixel or two you need to replace the LCD pannel...which is the tv in other words sorry

Sorry about the wrong info, I just re-read your message and the last sentence you stated it wasn't a LCD, I thought it was those you can't fix, but regular tube you can.
