dead red box

the box was working fine then the elec went and it wont come back on changed the power board but still dead any help to get this box up and working again.

 

Hiya , you say you changed the power board , first things first , have you checked the fuse in the power lead, if that's ok , make sure your connections from the new power board are fitted correctly , then check with a phase tester that power is reaching the main board and checking for anything that looks blown..if there is power running all the way , then you could try a jtag , this might work

 

tried all that you what you said and it is still dead, never done a jtag before? if there no power on the box how would you be able to jtag it.

 

just have a look for blown caps the power cutting out must of blown something in it.

 

have put a new power board in the eurovox and it still not lighting up (nop lights atall)

 

I'd agree something may have blown.. so if you have checked everything tell us when you use the tester is there power in both boards.I think your only hope is that there is power reaching the main board and that a jtag will revive it..but it most likely something has blown on the main board , you could try replacing all the caps but try jtagging first.

 

I'm a bit confused can you replace the main board,I dont know how to replace caps as you call them. will keep looking,thanks
