Hi.I should add to my message above,,that the c21 cap (50v 1uF) looked in bad shape..as did another called c5..which is rated at 400v 33uF....
would these be part of the loss of the 23v in my starview box...??

OR any other help would be appreciated....Thanks Billyie

    Hi Scouser.
The chap has only so far replaced C11..but while working on the box..saw that the other caps....C21..and C5 were looking bad.... (his opinion)....c21 was with goo around one of the legs..while c5 was with goo (brown) all around its postion on the board..
But we are not sure if these caps..if poor ..are linked to the loss of 23v from that board that those caps or on..to the other bigger board..across a black / white wire...seems to be a few wires joined together to form a sort of small clump of black / white wires..approx 10 to 15mm wide..
would appreciate ya help... before purchasing any caps..if this makes any sense at all...Bilyie.

Replace all the caps first, only a few pence. You should be getting 12+V. Do you hear a clicking when you try to power up the box?
