I just tried to do the Death Sentence DVD...It's one of those dvd's with a rated and unrated version, yet there is only one movie on the disc...I 've had this problem with a couole of movies like this...I use hd fab and it works but I can't get sound on the unrated version...this happened with Live Free or Die Hard also...These dvd's have titles that have the word "Branch" in them..Does anyone know how to get sound on both versions of the movie??
I did the unrated version(Death Sentence) using clonedvd 2 + anydvd picking the English Dolby AC-3/6 and it plays back fine. don't use the 2 channel audio use the 3/6
Yes, but how would you do that with Nero..In fact, I used a DL disc and I still got no sound on the unrated version.I have this problem on all movies with the unrated and rated versions of movies with one stream...
Nero recode 2??? I has\d this same problem with Live Free or Die Hard and someone told me to do that..With a DL disc it didn't show audio streams..I can do both versions with a regular disc but the compression sucks....Everytime I get one of these discs with an unrated an rated version I have the same audio problem with a DL disc..With a single layer disc I get sound on both versions but a losy picture..This is frustrating..
ok lets backup a min. what program are you using to transcode the movie with? and have you tryed using imgburn instead of nero to burn
I used HDFab decrypter to decode...And Nero to durn on a DL disc..I had the same problem with Live Free And Die Hard..I'm pretty much stumped...
By the way, I can't see how a clean Nero insatll would help since I can burn single layer discs with no problems....and also no problems with DL discs and Nero..The only time I have a problem is with movies that have the unrated and rated versions and Nero only identifies one video stream for these movies- and I use a DL disc..So the problem only happens in a few distinct dvd's....
I'm trying imgburn now...but I can't see any audio stream info....And that's my major problem....Is the audio done automatically??? I'm sorry to sounfd like an idiot but this problem has me baffled...
I was able to copy using imgburn and I got sound on both versions...but the dl disc that i made stops and starts..and when imgburn tried to verify the disc it failed and got an i/o error...Is this normal??? Or does it mean the disc is bad??
Usually there is nothing in the audio_ts folders. All you should need to do it use the image burn to burn the ISO and you should be good to go. I would try another disc and see if it does the same thing (if you can afford to spare another DL disc)... if it does, then, it's not the disc. I only use DL discs for specific titles... so I'm no expert.
Are you doing a Full Rip to your hard drive & then if they are not already, putting the output VOB, BUP & IFO files into a VIDEO_TS folder, then burning with ImgBurn in Build Mode for DL?
If they put the IFO, BUP, and VOB files into a video_ts folder (which they should already show up in) wouldn't they just do a normal burn opposed to an Image burn? I've always just used image for ISO files?
Using the program ImgBurn it is possible to build your iso from VOB files. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/383878
I did burn at the lowest speed I could...Now I get sound on both versions of the movie but the disc stops...Maybe a bad disc??? It is a Memorex DL disc and I've used many of them with no problems....Sometimes this just gets so hairy and you don;t want to keep wasting DL discs as they aren't as cheap as single layer discs..
