Up until recently i could burn a movie using decrypter in about 10 minutes. Now when i try burning 1 it takes about an hour & half. I've it set to burn at 4x but now when it starts it burns at 0.5 or 0.6 & takes ages. I use the same discs as i've always used & never had a problem before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ppl

Defrag your hard drive if you haven't lately
    Check for spyware and virus's

    The most usual culprit:

Go into device manager and check out IDE-ATA/Atapi controllers that both primary and secondary controllers are in DMA or UDMA mode or DMA/UDMA if available. Make sure they are not in PIO mode. Pio mode will definitely slow down your burn speed.

If one or more channels are in PIO mode,un-install that channel driver/reboot.One channel at a time. Windows should automatically hook the channel/s back into dma or udma mode after re-booting.
