decrypter / shrink quick question

    is it always necessary to rip to the hardrive with decrypter before using shrink...or can shrink break some of the codes out there?

    first I must say this is in the wrong forum...there is a DVDshrink forum for this....

    However, I will answer your question.

    Yes DVDshrink can break some of the codes...not all.... its a trial and error type of think...I personally have had no problem backing up DVDs with DVDshrink

    DVD Shrink rip the majority of movies except some of the newer one with the Sony protection. You can try Shrink but if it encounters an error then rip with Decrypter. You can also try free program DVD43 to run in the background and see if this will break the encryption and let Shrink run. You can also download the trial version of AnyDVD let it run in the background and Shrink will make it through the process fine.
